Srinagar, Sep 7: Sanctorum North United FC defeated United Elegant FC 3-2 in a thrilling encounter in the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League (KSL) Season 2 at the TRC Ground here on Monday.
The five-goal contest, as per a statement, produced an intense battle between the two sides, with both teams showing attacking intent throughout the match. Sanctorum North United FC eventually held their nerve to secure all three points.
For United Elegant FC, Fredrick Marshal and Aakif Reshi found the net, scoring one goal each.
Sanctorum North United FC’s goals came from Ifham Tariq, Raha Musharraf and Farhan Magray, with the trio helping their side edge the contest 3-2.
The victory gives Sanctorum North United FC a valuable points in their KSL Season 2 campaign, while United Elegant FC will look to bounce back in their next fixture.
Meanwhile, the KSL Season 2 action will continue on Tuesday when Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC take on Swift Strikers FC Rainawari at the TRC Ground.
The fixture will provide both teams with another opportunity to strengthen their position in the competition as the six franchises battle for the KSL crown.
The second edition of the league features United Elegant FC, Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC, Athwas India XI FC, Sanctorum North United FC, New JK United FC and Swift Strikers FC Rainawari.
