Protech Biopharma secures EAEU-GMP certification, eyes Eurasian pharma market

Pulwama, Oct 5: Protech Biopharma Pvt Ltd, a pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Jammu and Kashmir, has secured Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification, opening the way for the company to export its pharmaceutical products to member countries of the EAEU.

According to a press note issued by the company, the certification follows a comprehensive joint inspection of its manufacturing facility at SIDCO Industrial Growth Centre, Lassipora, Pulwama, conducted from May 18 to May 21, 2026.

The inspection assessed the facility’s compliance with international requirements relating to manufacturing and quality standards. The audit was conducted by a team of EAEU GMP auditors led by Nurzhanov Asset Auezhanovich, along with Zargali Yeset Abdullayuly and Denis Alekseevich Dolgopolov.

The auditors examined the company’s quality management systems, production protocols and safety measures as part of the certification process. Document 193. Protech Biopharma promoter Waheed Ul Rehman said the certification marked an important milestone for the company and reflected its focus on quality, safety and efficiency.

The company said the latest accreditation adds to its existing portfolio of quality certifications, including WHO-GMP certification, ISO 9001:2015 certification, Revised Schedule M GMP Certification (India) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) Certified Quality Control Laboratory accreditation.

With the EAEU-GMP certification, the company said it is positioned to expand its presence in international pharmaceutical markets and take products manufactured in J&K to the broader Eurasian market.

The company’s registered office is in Srinagar, while its manufacturing facility is located at the SIDCO Industrial Growth Centre in Lassipora, Pulwama.
