Srinagar, Oct 10: Encash Automotive Pvt. Ltd., an authorised dealership of Mahindra & Mahindra, unveiled the Thar OG at its Athwajan showroom in Srinagar on Saturday.
The vehicle was unveiled by Qazi Irfan, Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Kashmir, and Arshad Qadri, Divisional Head, J&K Bank, in the presence of Maham Rouf, CEO of Encash Automotive, senior officials from financial institutions, customers and SUV enthusiasts.
Speaking at the launch, Maham Rouf said the Thar OG succeeds the three-door Thar introduced in 2020 and carries forward the iconic SUV’s appeal while enhancing its design, capability and everyday usability.
She said the new model represents another chapter in the evolution of the Thar, retaining the features and character appreciated by enthusiasts while incorporating improvements aimed at a new generation of customers.
Addressing the gathering, Qazi Irfan commended the additions introduced in the Thar OG, including the M_Glyde 4G platform, advanced PENTALINK suspension, DAVINCI damping technology, electronic locking differential and terrain modes.
He also emphasised the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and practising safe driving.
Arshad Qadri said Mahindra had evolved the Thar for a new generation while preserving its distinctive boxy design, authentic character and strong road presence.
Congratulating Encash Automotive on the unveiling, Qadri highlighted the hassle-free vehicle financing facilities offered by J&K Bank to customers seeking to purchase their preferred vehicles. The Thar OG is priced at Rs 10.32 lakh onwards, ex-showroom. The model retains the appeal of the Thar brand while introducing changes aimed at enhancing its design, capability and suitability for everyday use.
Established in 2023, Encash Automotive currently operates at four locations across the Kashmir Valley: Athwajan and Lawaypora in Srinagar, Wanpoh in Anantnag district, and Gangoo in Pulwama district.
