SRINAGAR, OCT 20: Classwork will remain suspended in six educational institutions across Srinagar on Wednesday, October 21, to facilitate the smooth conduct of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) OMR-based written examination for various posts in the Health and Medical Education Department.
The decision has been taken by the District Magistrate, Srinagar, in view of the examination scheduled to be conducted by the JKSSB from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on October 21 for the posts of Attendant General Cadre (AGC) Grade-II and Barber Grade-III.
According to the order issued by the District Magistrate, the examination will be held at six designated centres across Srinagar, requiring arrangements to ensure the smooth movement of candidates, proper management of examination venues and adherence to the prescribed examination schedule.
The designated examination centres include AAA Memorial Degree College, Bemina; S.P. College, M.A. Road; Government College for Women, M.A. Road; Government College of Education (IASE), M.A. Road; Government Polytechnic for Women, Bemina, near JKBOSE; and Kashmir Government Polytechnic, Gogji Bagh.
In view of the examination arrangements, the District Magistrate has directed that regular classwork at these institutions remain suspended for the day. Entry into the designated institutions during the examination period will be restricted to staff members specifically nominated for examination-related duties.
The measure is intended to ensure that the examination is conducted in an orderly environment without disruption from routine academic activities. The restriction on entry will also facilitate the management of examination centres and help maintain the required arrangements for candidates appearing in the recruitment test.
The JKSSB examination is being conducted to fill the advertised posts in the Health and Medical Education Department, with candidates scheduled to appear for the two-hour OMR-based written test.
Students and staff of the affected institutions are advised to take note of the suspension of classwork and follow the directions issued by their respective college administrations. Regular academic activities at the designated venues will be subject to the applicable instructions issued by the competent authorities.
