MUMBAI, SEPT 24: Bollywood actor Mushtaq Khan, remembered for his memorable performances in films such as Welcome, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, passed away on Thursday. He was reportedly in his late 50s.
The news of his demise was confirmed by Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) President BN Tiwari over the phone.
Khan had reportedly been battling lung cancer for a prolonged period.

Khan began his cinematic journey with Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Aata Hai in 1980 and went on to build a career spanning more than three decades.
With his natural comic timing and versatile acting, he became a familiar and much-loved face in Hindi cinema.
For many viewers, his performance in Welcome remains especially unforgettable, particularly the hilarious “Meri ek taang nakli hai, main hockey ka bahut bada player hoon” sequence, which became one of the film’s most memorable comic moments.
With his passing, Hindi cinema has lost an actor who brought warmth, humour and countless smiles to audiences.
