SAMBA, SEPT 27: Garota Mandi emerged victorious in the Volleyball Tournament organised under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2026-27 at Government Higher Secondary School, Gurha Slathia, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from eight teams representing different parts of Samba district, while a large number of local spectators gathered at the venue to cheer for the players and encourage the participating teams.
The tournament culminated in an exciting final between Garota Mandi and Sani Mandi, with Garota Mandi displaying a strong performance to defeat Sani Mandi and lift the tournament trophy.
The winning Garota Mandi team and runners-up Sani Mandi team were felicitated by Samba Police with trophies, medals, volleyball kits and jerseys in recognition of their performance and sporting spirit.
The umpires were also honoured with mementos for ensuring fair and smooth conduct of the matches.
The event was attended by Additional SP Samba, SDPO Vijaypur and other police officers and officials.
Refreshments were also served to the participants and attendees.
The tournament was organised as part of Samba Police’s ongoing Civic Action Programme, aimed at promoting sports, youth participation and positive community engagement through sporting activities.
