ANANTNAG, SEPT 28: J&K Police in Anantnag intensified its crackdown on illegal mining, seizing 13 tractors allegedly involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals at different locations across the district during the intervening night.
The action was carried out as part of the ongoing enforcement drive aimed at curbing unauthorised mining activities and ensuring strict compliance with the prescribed rules and regulations governing the extraction and transportation of minor minerals.
Police said the seized vehicles were found involved in illegal mining activities and were taken into custody during the enforcement operation.
The action comes amid continued efforts to check violations linked to illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals in the district.
Police reiterated that strict action will be taken against individuals found involved in such activities and warned that enforcement operations will continue across Anantnag.
