The event was chaired by SDPO Kangan Rajeev Raina, who interacted with the participating teams and appreciated the enthusiasm, discipline and sporting spirit displayed by the young players. He encouraged the participants to pursue sports with dedication and highlighted the importance of physical activity, teamwork and discipline in the overall development of young people.
The presence of police and education officials also provided an opportunity for direct interaction between students and the police establishment, reinforcing the community-oriented objective of the Civic Action Programme.
SHO Kangan, the Zonal Physical Education Officer Kangan and other senior officers were present during the event and witnessed the matches.
The tournament culminated in an engaging final, with Sheikh-ul-Aalam Public School, Kangan emerging as the winners, while Government Higher Secondary School, Hariganiwan finished as runners-up.

By taking sporting programmes to educational and community spaces, police said such initiatives are aimed at strengthening interaction with the younger generation while encouraging healthy lifestyles and constructive participation.
J&K Police said it would continue organising youth-oriented activities under the Civic Action Programme, with emphasis on sports, discipline, community participation and opportunities for the holistic development of young people.
