Srinagar, Oct 2: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and MLA Pulwama Waheed-ur-Rehman Para on Friday questioned the role of recruiting bodies including JKPSC and JKSSB in recruiting youth, despite collecting crores of rupees in lieu of application forms.
In a post on X, he said: “From 2023 to 2026, JKPSC & JKSSB advertised 15,964 posts, received a staggering 21.12 lakh applications and collected nearly ₹114 crore in application fees!
Yet, 38 JKPSC examinations remain pending, and then JKPSC – a constitutional body currently functions without a Chairman!?
Lakhs of applications, crores collected, examinations pending and our youth continue to live in uncertainty.”
Para urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene and play their role in bringing youth out from uncertainty.
