Jammu, Sep 13: J&K Apni Party (JKAP) provincial president Manjit Singh on Sunday asserted that the JKAP would become an effective voice of people and would remain with them through thick and thin, particularly whenever they faced genuine difficulties or issues concerning their rights and welfare.
He stated it while he was chairing a function where several prominent persons from Nai Basti, Ward 23, Jammu, joined the party, in a significant boost to the grassroots organisation of the J&K Apni Party (JKAP).
Manjit Singh welcomed all the new entrants into the Apni Party fold and assured them that the party would stand firmly with them in every situation. Addressing the gathering, Singh said that the induction of new members was a positive development for the organisation and demonstrated the importance of maintaining a direct and continuous connect with the people.
The programme was organised by Pavneet Kour, provincial president, women wing, J&K Apni Party, who expressed confidence that the new entrants’ association would further strengthen the party’s presence at the grassroots level. Minority wing leaders Harjeet Singh and Paramjeet Singh were also present on the occasion.
Manjit Singh said the Apni Party believed in remaining connected with the people and understanding their problems directly at the grassroots. He emphasised that political organisations derived their real strength from the confidence and participation of common people.
He further said that the party would continue to raise issues concerning the people and work towards ensuring that their genuine concerns receive due attention at the appropriate forums. He urged the newly joined members to remain actively connected with residents of their respective areas and contribute towards strengthening the party organisation.
The joining programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, party workers and supporters. The new members expressed confidence in the leadership of Manjit Singh and said they were encouraged by his accessibility and continued interaction with people.
Party leaders highlighted that Manjit Singh’s availability to people and workers helped strengthen the party’s grassroots connect, enabling residents to directly communicate their concerns and seek political intervention on issues affecting their daily lives.
Speaking on the occasion, Pavneet Kour welcomed the new members and said their joining reflected growing confidence in the Apni Party’s organisational approach. She said the women-wing would continue its efforts to reach out to people at the grassroots and encourage greater participation of women and other sections of society in public life.
She urged the newly joined members to work collectively for strengthening the party in Nai Basti and Ward 23 and to remain connected with residents so that local issues could be identified and taken up effectively.
The programme concluded with the leadership reiterating the party’s commitment to remaining accessible to the people and standing by them in their hour of need.
