During the programme, children of Police Martyrs who had demonstrated outstanding academic performance were felicitated and presented with gifts in recognition of their achievements. The initiative was aimed at encouraging educational excellence and acknowledging the determination and hard work of children belonging to families of police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

Police officers present on the occasion interacted with the students and their families, congratulated the achievers and extended their best wishes for their future endeavours. They reiterated that Awantipora Police remains committed to the welfare and well-being of Police Martyrs’ families and assured them of continued support and assistance.

On the same occasion, Awantipora Police organised cultural programmes at DPL Awantipora, witnessing enthusiastic participation by students and other performers. The participants presented cultural performances showcasing the region’s rich heritage, traditional values and artistic talent, while conveying messages of unity, peace and communal harmony.

To appreciate their efforts and encourage participation, performers were awarded trophies, certificates and cash prizes. The programme provided a platform for young participants to display their abilities, celebrate local traditions and engage in constructive cultural activities.

The initiatives formed part of the broader Police Flag Day Week celebrations, reflecting the force’s commitment not only to remembering its fallen personnel but also to supporting their families and strengthening police-public relations through meaningful community-oriented programmes.
