BARAMULLA, OCT 24: Stepping up enforcement against traffic violations, Baramulla Police seized three tractors during a checking drive at Kongamdara after the vehicles were allegedly found operating on public roads without valid documents. The action was taken under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen traffic regulation compliance and prevent the use of undocumented vehicles.
During the operation, police detained three tractors identified by registration numbers JK01AS-6936 and JK05F-9436, while the third vehicle was identified through chassis number WYCA61618117524. Police said such checking drives are aimed at improving road safety, promoting responsible driving and ensuring that vehicles operating across the district adhere to the prescribed legal framework.
The police have reiterated that enforcement activities will continue against violations detected during checking, while appealing to the public to cooperate with the authorities in maintaining traffic discipline and safer roads.
