BARAMULLA, SEPT 18: J&K Police conducted Thana Diwas and Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings at 31 locations across Baramulla district, directing local communities and stakeholders to strengthen cooperation with police for maintaining peace, preventing crime and addressing public safety concerns.
The meetings were held at Hardkhal Gulistan, Mohalla Mir Sahab, Jetty, Fatehgarh, Darpora, Bitchergund, Syed Kareem, Saderbal, Mandiyari, Narpora, Yakhmanpora, Gojri Mohalla, Goom Ahmadpora, Tangpora, Check Amm Bhat Puthar, Thandikasi, Managam, Gofbal, Rawanpora, Khaminderpora, Hapit Khud, Chountipathri, Mohura, Prankutran, Gowhallan, Khachadari, Bagna Salamabad, Nawarunda and Basgran.
Police officers interacted with PRIs, community members and other local stakeholders, directing them to remain vigilant against criminal activities, particularly drug abuse and other unlawful practices.
Issues concerning public safety, traffic management, crime prevention and local civic concerns were also taken up during the meetings.
Participants were encouraged to raise genuine grievances and provide suggestions for improving policing and public services.
Police stressed the need for timely sharing of information about suspicious activities, while assuring that genuine public concerns would be addressed promptly.
The meetings underscored the police direction to strengthen police-public coordination, community vigilance and collective efforts to maintain peace and security across Baramulla district.
