JAMMU, SEPT 18: BJP J&K spokesperson Dr Hari Dutt Shishu on Friday commended the security forces for the counter-terrorism operation in Udhampur district that resulted in the killing of two terrorists, praising the Indian Army, Jammu & Kashmir Police and CRPF for their coordinated action.
In a statement, Shishu said the operation in the Brattal area was carried out despite difficult weather, dense forest terrain and poor visibility during night hours. He said the joint forces acted on intelligence inputs and successfully neutralised the two armed terrorists before they could carry out any attack against civilians.
“The professional excellence and tactical superiority displayed by our security forces in the Brattal and Majalta sectors of Udhampur underscore their unwavering commitment to keeping Jammu and Kashmir safe,” Shishu said, adding that successful counter-terror operations demonstrate the security forces’ resolve against armed militant activity.
He also acknowledged the role of the local population, expressing gratitude to residents of Udhampur for maintaining vigilance and extending cooperation to the security agencies during the operation.
Shishu said timely sharing of information by local communities can assist security forces in detecting and disrupting terrorist networks. He called for continued cooperation between citizens and security agencies to prevent attempts to disturb peace and security in the region.
He further said that sustained vigilance and coordinated efforts by the security forces and civil administration were necessary to prevent the resurgence of terrorism and ensure a secure environment for residents.
Shishu reiterated the BJP’s “Nation First” position and said the government remained committed to strengthening security and maintaining peace and stability across the Jammu region.
