BUDGAM, SEPT 16: The body of a man was found near the Ring Road in the Dharmunah area of Budgam district on Wednesday, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Arif Ahmad Bhat, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Gotapora Narbal, Budgam.
According to officials, police received information about the recovery and promptly reached the spot.
The body was taken into custody and necessary legal proceedings were initiated.
The circumstances surrounding his death were not immediately clear.
Police have started an investigation to ascertain the sequence of events and determine the cause of death.
