HANDWARA, SEPT 15: J&K Police and CAPF personnel conducted a high-intensity mock drill at District Police Lines (DPL) Handwara to test and strengthen their operational preparedness for potential law-and-order challenges and large-scale crowd situations.
The comprehensive exercise focused on rapid mobilisation, coordinated deployment, communication, crowd-control tactics and inter-agency response, with personnel from District Police Handwara and CAPF actively participating in the drill.
The exercise simulated challenging law-and-order scenarios to assess the ability of the participating forces to respond swiftly and in a coordinated manner during emergent situations.
During the drill, the response mechanism, communication channels and coordination between different units were put through practical testing, allowing the forces to identify operational gaps and further streamline their response procedures.
Officials said the exercise was aimed at ensuring that personnel remain alert, responsive and operationally prepared to deal with sudden law-and-order situations while maintaining effective coordination and professionalism.
The successful completion of the drill reinforced the preparedness of J&K Police and CAPF personnel to handle crowd-management and other emergent security challenges with speed, coordination and operational precision.
