HANDWARA, SEPT 11: Intensifying its traffic enforcement drive, Handwara Police seized five motorcycles for allegedly violating traffic rules during checking operations conducted at nakas established at Braripora and Qalamabad.
The action forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen road safety and ensure strict compliance with prescribed traffic regulations across Police District Handwara.
During the checking, the five motorcycles were found in violation of traffic norms and were subsequently seized by police for further necessary action under law.
Police said intensified checking would continue at various locations to deter traffic violations, promote disciplined driving and prevent practices that could endanger the lives of riders, pedestrians and other road users.
Handwara Police appealed to motorists, particularly two-wheeler riders, to strictly follow traffic rules, carry valid documents, wear helmets and drive responsibly.
The police reiterated its commitment to ensuring safer roads and maintaining traffic discipline across the district.
