Jammu, Oct 16: Jammu Muslim Front strongly condemned the reported alleged misconduct by Rajeev Ranjan, accused of misusing his official position to insult and humiliate a woman officer.
The statement issued on Friday said that such allegations, if established, represent a serious breach of the dignity, discipline and ethical standards expected of a public servant.
The reported controversy surrounding the fake gun licence issue also raises concerns that warrant a fair, impartial and transparent investigation. No public official should be permitted to misuse the authority of office or act in a manner that undermines public trust and the dignity of fellow officers.
Jammu Muslim Front has urged the competent authorities to examine the matter impartially, establish the facts and take appropriate action in accordance with the law. Accountability must apply equally to everyone, regardless of official rank or influence.
Respect for women, integrity in public service and accountability are fundamental principles that cannot be compromised.
