Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokespersons have welcomed the appointment of Prabharis (incharges) and Seh-Prabharis (co-incharges) for all 28 states and eight Union Territories, as well as the elevation of Anil Baluni as coordinator of the BJP’s Communication Department, which included the party’s national media cell and social media unit.
Ashish Usha Agrawal, who was recently appointed co-convenor of the BJP’s national media department, has also been elevated as its Convenor.
National president of BJP Nitin Nabin made these appointments in New Delhi on September 23.
The development was welcomed at a meeting of BJP J&K spokespersons held under the chairmanship of chief spokesperson Sunil Sethi.
On the occasion, the spokespersons extended a warm welcome to Dr Satish Poonia and Reena Kashyap on their appointment as Prabhari and Seh-Prabhari, respectively, for Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Satish Poonia is a prominent political leader and experienced organisational strategist of the BJP. A widely recognised public figure from Rajasthan, he brings substantial political and organisational experience to his new responsibility in Jammu & Kashmir.
Dr Poonia holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Rajasthan, along with an M Sc, LLB and diplomas in Labour Law and Criminology, reflecting his broad academic interests and diverse experience.
Reena Kashyap, a prominent woman leader from Himachal Pradesh and the state’s lone woman MLA, is known for her effective oratory and organisational capabilities. Her political experience and perspective are expected to add further strength to the party’s organisational activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
The spokespersons expressed confidence that the BJP organisation in Jammu and Kashmir would benefit from the rich experience, leadership and organisational capabilities of both leaders and would continue to expand its organisational reach both vertically and horizontally, encompassing wider geographical areas and diverse sections of society.
“We extend our warmest greetings and best wishes to both leaders on their new responsibilities and look forward to their valuable contribution towards further strengthening the BJP organisation in Jammu & Kashmir,” the spokespersons said in a statement.
