Srinagar, Sep 27: As preparations for the 2027 Hajj season gather pace, the Jammu and Kashmir Haj Committee has allocated quota to 19 authorised Hajj Group Organisers (HGOs) for Private Hajj 2027, with Labaika Haj & Umrah Services retaining its Category-I status and receiving a quota of 74 pilgrims.
The allocation has been made following the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, notice dated September 26, 2026, regarding the selection of Hajj Group Organisers for Hajj 2027 (1448H). The Jammu and Kashmir Haj Committee, functioning under the Department of Haj and Auqaf, has subsequently issued the quota details for the selected organisers in the Union Territory.
A total of 814 pilgrims have been allocated quota among the 19 selected HGOs. Three organisers have been placed in Category-I and allotted 74 pilgrims each, while the remaining 16 Category-II organisers have been allotted 37 pilgrims each.
Labaika Haj & Umrah Services has once again retained its Category-I status and has been allotted 74 pilgrims. The organisation has consistently maintained its Category-I position over the past several years.
The other two Category-I HGOs are Al Hayat Hajj and Umrah Travel Services and Al Khuddam Hajj & Umrah Services, which have also been allotted 74 pilgrims each.
The 16 Category-II organisers allotted a quota of 37 pilgrims each are Universe Travel Corporation, Raj Baba Tour & Travels, Al Ghazali Tour & Travels, Al Huda Travels, Al Safeer Tour and Travels, Fly High Tours and Travels, Al Ansar Tours and Travels, Al Haramain Hajj and Umrah Services, Gazi Tour & Travels, Madina World Travels Pvt Limited, Anabia Holidays and Tourism, Sahar Tour & Travels, Al Haram Tours Hajj & Umrah Services, Khadim Al Mecca Tour & Travels Private Limited, Leena Travelers and M.G Tours and Travels.
The three Category-I organisers together account for 222 pilgrims, while the 16 Category-II HGOs account for 592 pilgrims, taking the total private Hajj quota allocated through the selected organisers to 814.
The Hajj Committee has advised intending pilgrims wishing to undertake Private Hajj through Hajj Group Organisers to register only with those HGOs that have been officially allotted quota by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
It has asked pilgrims to finalise the terms and conditions directly with the concerned authorised HGO and verify the organiser’s name, licence details and authorisation status before making any payment or entering into a booking arrangement.
The Committee has specifically cautioned the general public against dealing with unauthorised persons or agents offering Hajj bookings. Intending pilgrims have been advised to exercise due diligence and retain proper documentation, agreements and receipts relating to all payments and transactions.
The advisory assumes particular significance with the Haj Committee warning pilgrims to ensure that their bookings are made through officially authorised HGOs and that they do not fall prey to unauthorised agents or fraudulent Hajj arrangements.
The Committee has also referred to the latest advisory issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to which no person will be allowed to perform Hajj on an Umrah or tourist visa.
Accordingly, the Committee has advised intending pilgrims to ensure that they undertake the pilgrimage through the prescribed Hajj arrangements and do not rely on offers involving Umrah or tourist visas for performing Hajj.
The selection and allocation follow the Ministry of Minority Affairs’ process for Hajj Group Organisers for Hajj 2027, with the Jammu and Kashmir Haj Committee communicating the quota allocated to the selected organisations.
The Haj Committee has urged intending pilgrims to verify all details with the authorised organisers before committing funds and to avoid any intermediary who is unable to establish official authorisation for Hajj 2027.
