Jammu, Sep 9: The Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi (Men) Tournament 2026–2027, being organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, at the Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu, witnessed another action-packed day of intense competition as the tournament entered its fourth day.
The day, as per a statement, featured high-energy and closely fought encounters, with participating teams putting up an impressive display of strength, speed, agility, endurance and tactical execution. The players showcased excellent teamwork, coordination and determination while maintaining the true spirit of discipline, fair play and sportsmanship throughout the matches. The competitive nature of the encounters kept the spectators thoroughly engaged.
The tournament is being conducted under the supervision of Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, whose guidance continues to strengthen the organisation of sporting activities at the University level. The championship provides a valuable platform for talented players from affiliated colleges to compete at a higher level and demonstrate their sporting potential.
The tournament has now reached a crucial stage, with the participating teams competing for a place in the final stages of the championship. The Quarterfinal and Semifinal matches are scheduled to be conducted tomorrow, promising further exciting and competitive Kabaddi action.
