SRINAGAR, SEPT 17: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today unveiled Journal of the Waypoints, a literary volume presenting selected Kashmiri poetry of distinguished multilingual poet Dr. Satish Vimal to a wider English-speaking readership.

Authored by eminent writer, translator and poet Mushtaque B. Barq, the book features 40 select Kashmiri poems by Dr. Vimal, translated into English and accompanied by critical elucidations by the author.

The publication seeks to bridge linguistic boundaries while bringing the distinctive literary sensibility, themes and creative expression of Kashmiri poetry to a broader audience.

Commending Barq for his scholarly effort in translating and critically interpreting Vimal’s poetry, the Lieutenant Governor congratulated both Dr. Satish Vimal and Mushtaque B. Barq on the publication and wished them continued creativity and distinction in their literary pursuits.

Publisher Sheikh Waseem was also present on the occasion.
