Chandigarh, Sep 25: Nissan has unveiled the all-new Nissan PIXO, a compact electric city car designed for urban mobility in European towns and cities.
The new model offers a claimed range of 259 km and comes with 50kW DC rapid charging as standard across the range. It also features One Pedal technology, independent rear sliding seats and Google built-in connectivity, including Gemini.
The PIXO expands Nissan’s all-electric vehicle line-up in Europe, offering an option aimed at urban drivers seeking a compact and connected electric vehicle.
Nissan said the 259-km range is designed to cover typical daily journeys, including school runs, shopping and weekend trips.
Charging from 15 to 80 per cent takes 28 minutes using the standard 50kW DC rapid-charging system. The vehicle also supports 11kW AC charging for home and workplace use.
The PIXO uses a new Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which Nissan said is the first LFP battery fitted to a Nissan model in Europe.
The vehicle will be offered in a contemporary colour palette, including Wonder Purple and Gear Blue, aimed at reinforcing its urban-focused design.
Masato Koyama, Lead Exterior Designer, Nissan Global Design, said the PIXO combines compact dimensions with an interior designed to maximise usable space.
“PIXO proves that great things can come in small packages,” Koyama said, adding that the model’s compact size makes it suited to European cities while its interior has been designed to provide a spacious and practical cabin.
Nissan said the PIXO is intended to combine everyday practicality with connected technology and accessible electric mobility for urban customers.
