Srinagar, Sep 16: A road accident in Srinagar’s Rajbagh area claimed the life of a 58-year-old man after an auto-rickshaw collided with a Hyundai Venue during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Abdullah Rehman Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Beerwah, District Budgam.
Officials said Dar sustained critical injuries in the collision.

He was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, for treatment. However, doctors declared him brought dead upon arrival.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the fatal collision.
