Sopore Police expands youth outreach through CAP 2026-27, Kho-Kho Tournament begins in Rafiabad

SOPORE, SEPT 16: Continuing its youth engagement initiatives under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2026-27, J&K Police inaugurated a Kho-Kho tournament at Gund Kareem Khan, Watergam, Rafiabad, with eight teams participating from different areas.

The tournament provided young players an opportunity to showcase their sporting talent and compete in a healthy and positive environment, with participants displaying enthusiasm and strong sporting spirit.

The event is part of a wider series of sports activities being conducted by Sopore Police under CAP 2026-27, including Handball, Volleyball, Cricket and Kho-Kho tournaments at various locations across the police district.

Through such initiatives, police are seeking to engage youth in constructive activities, promote local sporting talent and provide young people with platforms to develop and demonstrate their abilities.

The programme also seeks to strengthen police-public interaction at the grassroots level.

Sopore Police said more sports and youth-oriented activities would be organised across the district under CAP 2026-27 to encourage greater participation in sports and create meaningful opportunities for local youth.
