REASI, SEPT 22: A woman died after allegedly jumping from Baradari Bridge into the Chenab River in Reasi on Tuesday, officials said.
According to officials, the woman was pulled out of the river shortly after the incident and CPR was administered in an attempt to revive her. Despite sustained efforts, she could not be revived and was declared dead.
The body has been shifted to District Hospital Reasi for medico-legal formalities. Her identity was being ascertained at the time of filing the report.

Officials said the circumstances leading to the incident are being verified, while a probe has been initiated to establish the sequence of events.
