14 JKAP Bn hosts Unity Run, Inter-School Athletic Competition at Manasbal

MANASBAL, SEPT 30: The 14 JKAP Battalion APC Manasbal organised a Unity Run and Inter-School Athletic Competition at Sainik School Ground, Manasbal, on Wednesday to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and promote the message of “Together Towards a Stronger India.”

Students from 10 schools of the area participated enthusiastically in various track events, including the 100-metre, 400-metre, 800-metre and 1600-metre races.

The young athletes displayed their talent, discipline, determination and competitive spirit during the sporting competitions.

The event provided students an opportunity to showcase their athletic abilities while promoting healthy competition and sportsmanship. Trophies and cash prizes were presented to the top three position holders in each event.

The winners received ₹4,000, runners-up ₹2,000 and third-position holders ₹1,500, along with trophies.

A Unity Walk was also organised as part of the programme, in which police officers and officials, teachers and students from all participating schools took part.

The walk highlighted the importance of unity, solidarity, sportsmanship and collective responsibility among members of the community.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant of 14 JKAP Battalion APC Manasbal appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and congratulated all the young athletes for displaying discipline and sportsmanship.

He encouraged them to pursue sports with dedication, stating that sporting activities help develop physical fitness, confidence, teamwork and a spirit of unity among youth.

The programme concluded with participants and organisers reaffirming the message “Run Together | Grow Together | Stay United,” underscoring the role of sports and community participation in fostering unity and strengthening bonds among the younger generation.
