PULWAMA, SEPT 21: A JCB machine and a tipper allegedly linked to illegal mining and unauthorised transportation of minor minerals have been seized by Newa Police as part of an intensified crackdown on violations involving public resources.
The action was carried out by Police Post Newa, which seized JCB No. JK13K-1987 and tipper No. JK13K-9848 during the enforcement drive.
Police have registered FIR Number 196/2026 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 3 of the PPD Act at Police Station Pulwama.
Investigators are now examining the circumstances surrounding the alleged illegal mining activity and unauthorised movement of minor minerals. Further investigation is in progress.
Police said the enforcement drive would continue against those involved in illegal extraction, transportation and exploitation of minor minerals.
