LADAKH, SEPT 22: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited Ladakh to review the security situation and assess the operational preparedness of troops deployed across the strategically important region.
During his interaction with the troops, Lt Gen Sharma commended all ranks for their exemplary professionalism and steadfast commitment to duty while operating in challenging weather conditions and difficult terrain.
The Army Commander emphasized the need to maintain high standards of discipline, physical fitness and regular training, stressing that these remain critical to sustaining operational readiness in the demanding environment.
He also underscored the importance of innovation and enhancement of technological capabilities, calling upon troops to continuously adapt to emerging operational requirements and remain mission-ready.
The visit focused on assessing the preparedness of formations and units deployed in Ladakh and reinforcing the operational priorities required to maintain a high level of readiness in the region.
