BANDIPORA, SEPT 23: Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Sujit Kumar, on Wednesday reviewed the security situation, counter-terrorism grid, law and order preparedness, crime scenario and operational readiness in Bandipora, directing officers to remain alert and ensure a swift response to emerging threats.
The IGP, accompanied by DIG North Kashmir Range Dr. Vinod Kumar, chaired a security review meeting at the Conference Hall of DPL Bandipora, where SSP Bandipora Ajaz Ahmed Zargar briefed him on the district’s overall security scenario, counter-terrorism measures, intelligence inputs, area domination, protection of vulnerable locations, law and order preparedness and the crime situation.
Additional SP Bandipora and all DySPs of the district attended the meeting.
During the review, IGP Kashmir stressed the need to further strengthen the counter-terrorism and security grid, maintain operational preparedness according to ground requirements and improve coordination and response mechanisms. He also called for stronger public-friendly policing and faster disposal of crime cases.
Sujit Kumar directed officers and personnel to maintain heightened vigilance, closely monitor emerging security and law-and-order challenges and ensure a prompt and effective response whenever required.
The IGP appreciated the professionalism and dedication of the Bandipora police personnel and called upon all ranks to remain committed to their responsibilities, with the safety and security of the public as the foremost priority.
