UDHAMPUR, SEPT 23: Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), visited the Headquarters of Northern Command in Udhampur and reviewed the operational preparedness and prevailing security environment with senior Army commanders.
During the visit, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, briefed the Air Chief on the operational environment, preparedness and ongoing requirements in the Northern Command area.
The interaction focused on the close coordination and operational synergy between the Indian Air Force’s Western Air Command and the Indian Army’s Northern Command.
Air Chief Marshal AP Singh commended the exemplary level of jointness and synergy between the two formations, observing that the coordination extending from the strategic to the tactical level serves as a model for future multi-domain operations.
The Air Chief appreciated the efforts of personnel from both services in maintaining a high level of operational readiness and coordination.
He also complimented all ranks for their unwavering commitment, professionalism and dedication in service of the nation.
The visit underscored the importance of integrated operations and seamless coordination between the armed forces, particularly in maintaining preparedness across multiple operational domains.
The Indian Army reiterated its commitment to strengthening jointness and interoperability with the Indian Air Force in line with the evolving requirements of modern warfare.
