JAMMU, SEPT 29: In a major strike against the illegal drug trade, Domana Police arrested an alleged inter-state drug peddler and seized 21.04 grams of heroin-like substance during a targeted operation at Machine Domana.
Acting on specific intelligence, a Police Station Domana team moved swiftly and apprehended Rohit Kumar, son of Tarsem Lal, resident of Labour Colony, Jawahar Nagar Camp, Ludhiana.
A search conducted by the police led to the recovery of 21.04 grams of suspected heroin-like substance, which was seized as per law.
A case FIR Number 207/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and the accused has been arrested.
The investigation has now shifted towards unravelling the wider supply chain, with police probing the accused’s forward and backward linkages to identify suppliers, handlers and other members of the suspected inter-state drug network.
The action underscores Jammu Police’s intensified offensive against narcotics under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan, with enforcement agencies maintaining sustained pressure on those involved in drug trafficking.
