Srinagar, Oct 22: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial Vice President and MLA Lal Chowk Ahsan Pardesi has said that providing basic civic amenities to the people and strengthening development infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir remain among the foremost priorities of the Omar Abdullah-led government.
Pardesi, as per a party statement, made these remarks while listening to public grievances and interacting with various public delegations and individuals at the party headquarters, Nawa-i-Subh, Srinagar.
He listened to their problems, demands and concerns, took immediate cognisance of the complaints, and contacted the concerned officers, directing them to ensure the time-bound redressal of public grievances on a priority basis.
He said the present government has revived the pace of development, which had slowed down over several years.
Pardesi said the Omar Abdullah-led government is committed to ensuring that every development project serving the public interest is initiated without delay and completed within the stipulated time frame so that people can benefit from these initiatives at the earliest.
He said extensive work is underway in several sectors, including road construction and macadamisation, renovation and repair of lanes and bylanes, strengthening drainage systems.
On the occasion, a women’s delegation led by National Conference Women’s Wing Provincial President Engineer Sabiya Qadri also met Pardesi. The delegation apprised the MLA of the issues, difficulties and demands faced by women in the constituency.
Pardesi assured them that their demands would be taken up with the appropriate forums for necessary action.
