KATHUA, OCT 22: The BJP Mahila Morcha Jammu and Kashmir has intensified its organisational activities in Kathua district, with a series of meetings held across the district and at the mandal level to review ongoing work, strengthen coordination among office-bearers and expand engagement with women at the grassroots level.
Adv. Neha Mahajan, President of BJP Mahila Morcha, Jammu and Kashmir, chaired the meetings in the presence of Geeta Bhagat, General Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha, and Suman Raina, Mahila Morcha Prabhari. The programme included a district-level outreach initiative, the monthly meeting of the Kathua district team at the party office, and organisational meetings in Hiranagar and Lakhanpur mandals.
The deliberations focused on strengthening the organisational framework, improving coordination between district and mandal-level functionaries, and ensuring greater participation of women workers in party activities. The meetings also reviewed the importance of maintaining regular contact with the public and expanding the Mahila Morcha’s presence across different areas of the district.
Addressing the participants, Neha Mahajan stressed the need for regular organisational reviews, collective teamwork and sustained engagement with women at the grassroots level. She urged Mahila Morcha functionaries to remain accessible to the public, understand the concerns and aspirations of women, and work towards addressing issues affecting them through appropriate platforms.
Mahajan also emphasised the importance of creating awareness about welfare schemes and initiatives of the Central Government, stressing that eligible beneficiaries should be informed about the available benefits and the procedures required to access them. She called for coordinated efforts by party workers to improve public outreach and ensure that information about government initiatives reaches women and families in the district.
Highlighting the role of women workers in organisational development, she said their active participation, dedication and effective coordination were essential for strengthening the Mahila Morcha’s structure and extending its activities to the grassroots. She also underscored the importance of maintaining regular communication among office-bearers to ensure that organisational responsibilities are carried out effectively.
Updesh Andotra, BJP District President Kathua; Ravinder Pathania, District Prabhari for all Morchas; Sushma Mahajan, District President of BJP Mahila Morcha Kathua; and Radha Jasrotia, Seh Prabhari, attended the programme along with other district and mandal-level office-bearers and Mahila Morcha workers.
The meetings reaffirmed the BJP Mahila Morcha’s focus on organisational consolidation, coordinated public engagement and increased participation of women in party activities across Kathua district.
