RAMBAN, SEPT 16: Continuing its sustained crackdown on absconders and wanted criminals, Ramsoo Police on Wednesday succeeded in bringing an accused, who had been evading arrest since 2020, before the court.
Police Station Ramsoo was pursuing the accused in connection with FIR Number 03/2020 registered under Sections 457, 380 and 411 IPC.
Police identified the accused as Raju Yadav, son of Nankey Yadav, resident of Bhagawati Kalan, Paskhaula Kalan, Saraswati, Uttar Pradesh, presently residing in Udhampur.
According to police, sustained efforts and continued pressure eventually led the accused to surrender before the Court of JMIC Ukhral on September 16, 2026.
Following the surrender, the court sent him to judicial custody, while the next date of hearing has been fixed for November 4, 2026.
Ramban Police said it would continue its efforts to trace absconders and proclaimed offenders and ensure that those wanted in criminal cases are brought before the law.
