NEW DELHI, SEPT 16: The Annual Principals’ and Administrative Officers’ Conference of Rashtriya Military Schools was held at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi, bringing together senior military leadership, distinguished alumni and senior functionaries to deliberate on institutional progress and measures to further strengthen the quality of education and overall development of cadets.
The conference was chaired by Lieutenant General Vipul Shinghal, DCOAS (IS&T).
Distinguished alumni Ashok Lavasa, IAS (Retd), and Lieutenant General SN Handa (Retd) graced the occasion as guests of honour and shared their association and experience with the institution.
The conference provided a platform for reviewing key aspects of the functioning of the schools, with discussions centred on academic excellence, leadership development, discipline, character building and holistic cadet development.
Participants also shared best practices and institutional experiences aimed at enhancing educational standards and preparing cadets for greater responsibilities.
A significant highlight of the conference was the institution of the Best RMS Trophy in honour of Captain GS Salaria, to recognise overall institutional excellence.
The new award is aimed at encouraging healthy competition among the schools and promoting high standards across academics, leadership, discipline and other areas of institutional functioning.
The initiative also underlines the enduring ethos of the Rashtriya Military Schools, with emphasis on character, discipline, leadership and a strong sense of service and nation building.
The conference reaffirmed the commitment to nurturing cadets into responsible, disciplined and capable citizens and future leaders.
The initiative seeks to further reinforce the core RMS ethos of character building, discipline, leadership and nation building, while encouraging schools to pursue excellence across academic and co-curricular domains.
