JAMMU, SEPT 29: Continuing its drive against illegal mining and unauthorised transportation of minor minerals, Border Police Post (BPP) Sandwan detained two tractor-trolleys allegedly found carrying minor minerals without valid Form-A.
A police party from BPP Sandwan intercepted and detained the two tractor-trolleys bearing chassis numbers MBNBG55NMRCG97132 and DXAOP150376553.
Both vehicles were found loaded with minor minerals and were allegedly being transported without the mandatory documentation.
The matter has been taken up with the District Mining Officer (DMO), Jammu, for further necessary action under the applicable mining laws and regulations.
The action by BPP Sandwan underscores the police crackdown on unauthorised mineral transportation and illegal mining activities in the area.
Jammu Police reiterated that strict enforcement measures will continue against violators to curb illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals and safeguard natural resources.
