RAMBAN, SEPT 28: Continuing its drive against illegal mining and transportation of minor minerals, Dharamkund Police seized five vehicles, including three dumpers, for allegedly transporting mining material without valid permission.
A police team led by the SHO Police Station Dharamkund, while conducting naka checking near the bridge at Dharamkund, intercepted the vehicles and found them involved in the illegal transportation of mining material.
The seized vehicles were identified as JK19A-0668, JK19-8521, JK19A-0708, JK11J-6338 and JK11F-4983.
The vehicles have been handed over to the Geology and Mining Department, Ramban, for further legal action under the relevant provisions of law.
Ramban Police said that strict action will continue against individuals involved in illegal mining and unauthorised transportation of mining material, in order to protect natural resources and curb violations of mining regulations.
