GOOL, SEPT 28: Ramban Police organised a Half Marathon in Sub-Division Gool under its ongoing Civic Action Programme, aimed at promoting fitness, sportsmanship, youth engagement and stronger police-public relations.
The Half Marathon commenced at 10:00 AM from Gool Hospital and proceeded towards Tragwal Morh, from where participants returned to the starting point.
The event was flagged off by Narendra Singh, Principal, Government Degree College Gool, in the presence of the Tehsildar Gool, ZEO Gool and Principals of HSS Gool, Dalwah and Sangaldan, who encouraged the participants to actively participate in the sporting event.
The marathon concluded at around 12:00 noon, with participants displaying enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout.
Cash prizes were awarded to the top four participants, with ₹20,000 for first position, ₹15,000 for second, ₹10,000 for third and ₹5,000 for fourth position.
As a gesture of hospitality, sweet dish was also distributed among all participants.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of civil society, the Peace and Welfare Committee, youth and students of Sub-Division Gool. Their active participation and cooperation contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
Ramban Police reiterated its commitment to organising community-oriented initiatives that encourage healthy lifestyles, constructive youth engagement and closer police-public relations.
