SRINAGAR, SEPT 24: The CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Branch Srinagar, has announced an open public auction of walnut fruit grown at its Field Station at Yarikha, Tangmarg, with the auction scheduled to be held on October 5, 2026.
According to the public auction notice, the auction will commence at 11:00 AM at the IIIM Field Station, Yarikha. Interested bidders have been given an opportunity to inspect the walnut trees and fruit proposed for auction on September 28 and 30, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on working days.
Bidders will be required to register before participating in the auction and deposit ₹2,000 as earnest money either in cash or through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Director, IIIM, Canal Road, Jammu.
The successful bidder will have to deposit 25 per cent of the bid amount immediately at the auction venue, while the remaining 75 per cent is required to be deposited within four days of the award.
The complete bid amount must be cleared before the successful bidder takes possession of the walnut fruit or begins harvesting.
The earnest money deposited by unsuccessful bidders will be refunded after seven days or upon completion of the auction process, whichever is earlier.
However, in case the successful bidder fails to deposit the stipulated amount within the prescribed period, the bid amount deposited along with the earnest money will be forfeited.
The Director, CSIR-IIIM, has reserved the right to accept or reject any bid, either wholly or partially, without assigning any reason. Other terms and conditions governing the auction will be announced at the venue before commencement of the bidding process.
