NEW DELHI, SEPT 23: Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr Jitendra Singh interacted with a delegation of the Central Secretariat Group-C Employees’ Association at the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) headquarters at Kartavya Bhavan.
During the meeting, the employee representatives expressed gratitude for the regular interactions with the department and appreciated the government’s response to their concerns.
They also lauded the DoPT for clearing more than 23,000 promotion cases during the last 12 years, describing it as an important step towards addressing career progression issues among employees.
The delegation placed its concerns and suggestions regarding cadre review and the existing cadre structure, particularly issues affecting promotional avenues and career progression.
Dr Jitendra Singh said the government is committed to creating a work-friendly environment for employees so that they remain motivated and can discharge their responsibilities effectively.
He emphasized that inputs from employees on service and cadre-related matters are important for improving the functioning of the system.
The employee representatives were assured that the genuine issues raised by them would be examined through the appropriate mechanism and considered in accordance with the applicable rules and procedures.
