LEH, OCT 5: Lt Gen Madanraj Pande, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Fire and Fury Corps, reviewed the operational preparedness and combat readiness of troops deployed in the forward areas of Ladakh, taking stock of the formation’s ability to sustain operations in the demanding high-altitude environment.
During his visit to forward positions, Lt Gen Pande assessed the operational preparedness, deployment readiness and logistical sustainability of units operating in the challenging terrain and extreme climatic conditions of the region. The review focused on maintaining a high state of readiness and ensuring that troops remain adequately prepared to respond to emerging operational requirements.
The Army commander interacted with officers and troops deployed in the forward areas and commended them for maintaining a high level of operational preparedness and commitment despite the demanding conditions. He also acknowledged their dedication and professional conduct while serving in one of the Army’s most challenging operational environments.
Lt Gen Pande exhorted all ranks to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, combat preparedness and operational excellence, stressing the importance of sustained training, discipline and mission readiness in ensuring effective functioning of units deployed along the forward areas.
The visit reaffirmed the formation’s emphasis on maintaining round-the-clock operational readiness, troop welfare and sustained capability in the strategically significant high-altitude sector of Ladakh.
