  • POONCH, SEPT 19: A fire incident at District Hospital Poonch on Saturday triggered a swift firefighting response, with Fire and Emergency Services personnel and hospital staff managing to contain the blaze before it could spread and cause major damage.

  • The fire broke out in the rear portion of the hospital building, damaging some windows. Medical Superintendent Dr Mohammad Shafiq said the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
  • Firefighters, assisted by hospital employees, rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control, preventing the situation from escalating.
  • Police have begun an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire and establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
