DODA, SEPT 24: Gandoh Police, in collaboration with the Fire & Emergency Services Department, organised an awareness programme at Markazi Madarssa Anwar-e-Madina, Gandoh, to sensitise students and staff about emergency preparedness, first aid and other public-safety measures.
SHO Gandoh Neam-ul-Haq, who attended the programme as chief guest, interacted with students and staff and highlighted the importance of awareness, preparedness and timely response during emergencies.
During the session, participants were educated about CPR, first aid, fire prevention, gas-cylinder leakage, emergency response and the harmful effects of drug abuse.
The Fire & Emergency Services team, led by Incharge Prithvi Kumar, provided practical guidance on precautionary measures and safe response during different emergency situations.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Amit Shiv Gotra, Assistant Director, Fire & Emergency Services, Doda.
The team stressed the importance of remaining calm, assessing the situation and taking appropriate safety measures until professional emergency assistance arrives.
Addressing the gathering, SHO Gandoh said the Police Department is committed to strengthening police-public coordination through regular Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings and community-oriented awareness programmes.
He said such initiatives play an important role in educating people about pressing social and safety concerns, particularly drug abuse, cyber fraud and other emerging challenges.
He urged students and staff to remain vigilant and promptly share relevant information with the concerned authorities whenever required.
The programme concluded with an appeal to students, staff and community members to remain safety-conscious and actively participate in awareness initiatives aimed at building a safer and more responsible society.
