SRINAGAR, SEPT 16: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has issued an official order transferring Jatinder Singh Jamwal, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kathua, and placing his judicial services at the disposal of the Union Territory of Ladakh on a deputation basis.
The administrative decision comes directly after the court accepted a formal request submitted by the General Administration Department (GAD) of the UT of Ladakh.
Under the issued notification, signed by Registrar General M.K. Sharma, Judge Jamwal’s posting will be finalized within Ladakh’s Department of Law and Justice upon arrival.
The officer will formally hand over charge of his current position as Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kathua, once the Ladakh UT administration releases his formal deputation order.
To ensure smooth judicial proceedings and avoid administrative interruption, the High Court has put an interim mechanism in place for Kathua District.
Following the sanction of Judge Jamwal’s deputation by the competent authority, the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kathua, will assume additional charge of the Court of Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kathua, until further administrative orders are issued.
