NEW DELHI, OCT 29: The Indian Army has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swami Vivekanand Subharti University to expand educational opportunities for wards of Army personnel and their families, reinforcing its commitment to the welfare and empowerment of the Army fraternity.

Under the agreement, eligible students from different categories of Army families will receive substantial fee concessions to facilitate access to higher education and reduce the financial burden on families.

As per the announced provisions, 100% fee concession will be provided to 10 wards of Veer Naris and war widows. Additionally, 50% fee concession each will be extended to 10 wards of disabled or medically boarded-out personnel and 10 wards of gallantry awardees.

The initiative also provides for a 25% fee concession for wards of veterans and serving Army personnel, broadening educational support for members of the Army community.

The partnership is intended to strengthen access to education for eligible beneficiaries and create greater opportunities for academic advancement and career development. By extending financial assistance through the university, the initiative seeks to support the aspirations of Army families and recognise the sacrifices and service of personnel and their dependants.

The Indian Army reiterated its commitment to the welfare of its extended fraternity, emphasising education as an important avenue for empowerment, opportunity and a brighter future for the next generation.

The MoU marks another initiative aimed at supporting Army families and facilitating access to higher education through institutional collaboration.
