PULWAMA, SEPT 19: A joint mock drill was conducted at Kakapora Railway Station on Saturday to assess the preparedness, response capabilities and coordination among various emergency response agencies.

The exercise was carried out jointly by teams from SDRF/CD Awantipora, Pulwama, Fire and Emergency Services, RPF, GRPF, CRPF, Rashtriya Rifles 55 and the Health Department.

Around 60 officers and officials from the participating departments took part in the exercise.

The drill focused on assessing inter-agency coordination, emergency response mechanisms and the overall readiness of the agencies to deal with emergency situations.

The exercise also provided the participating teams an opportunity to identify response gaps and strengthen coordination for an effective and timely response during any eventuality.
