Srinagar, Sep 13: Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena today flagged off the 42-km Full Marathon and 21-km Half Marathon at the 13th Ladakh Marathon in Leh, which saw the participation of more than 8,000 people.
“Flagged off the ’42 km Full Marathon’ and ’21 km Half Marathon’ at the 13th Ladakh Marathon in Leh today,” the LG said.
“It is inspiring to see runners from across India and the world come together in Ladakh, embracing the spirit of endurance, determination and adventure,” he added.
Saxena said that the Ladakh Marathon has grown into a prestigious global sporting event and is showcasing its unique landscape, culture and warm hospitality to the world.
The LG extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the participants, organisers, volunteers and support teams for making the event a success.
“I wish every runner the very best and hope they carry unforgettable memories of Ladakh with them,” he said.
