NEW DELHI, SEPT 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Indian athletes Dharmveer Chaudhary, Manu TS, Jay Kumar and Vishal TK on their impressive performance in the men’s 4×400m relay, after the quartet clinched a bronze medal with a strong timing.
Taking note of the achievement, Prime Minister Modi described the performance as “remarkable” and extended his congratulations to all four athletes for bringing recognition to Indian athletics on the international stage.
“Congratulations to Dharmveer Chaudhary, Manu TS, Jay Kumar and Vishal TK on winning Bronze in the Men’s 4×400m Relay with a superb timing,” the Prime Minister said.
PM Modi also expressed hope that the athletes’ success would help generate greater interest in athletics and inspire young sportspersons to take up track and field disciplines.
The achievement adds to the growing recognition of Indian athletes in relay events, with the 4×400m relay requiring a combination of speed, endurance, coordination and precise baton exchanges among all four members of the team.
