QAZIGUND, SEPT: 19: A Traffic Police Head Constable lost his life after being struck by a truck near Shampora Bridge in Qazigund area of Kulgam district on Saturday morning.
Officials said the incident occurred when a truck bearing registration number JK03Q-9011 allegedly lost control and hit the traffic police official deployed in the area.

The impact left the officer critically injured, but he succumbed to his injuries at the spot.
The deceased was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad, son of Abdul Sabir Bhat, resident of Kulpora.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings. Further details are awaited.
